When the sound goes through gas, it has the smallest sound. And when the sound goes through a solid it has the most sound.
This is an example of potential energy and kinetic energy. When Ms.Willams fist goes back she has potential energy because her fist is not hitting anything yet but could do it in the future. When her fist punches, at that point she has kinetic energy because her fist is punching.
We get energy from nuclear energy by the nuclear energy holding the nucleus of an atom together. When one atom touches another atom, whatever happened to the first atom will happen to the other atom.
three ways heat can move are conduction, convection, and radiation. one example for conduction is a stove heating a pan. one example for convection is cool water sinking under warm water in a fish tank. Finally an example of radiation is the sun heating the earth.
A sound's loudness is measured in Decibals. The louder the sound, the more energy it has.
We get nuclear energy when the nucleus splits, large amounts of energy is released.
1. Potential energy in a match is not in the form of potential energy it is in the form of chemical energy.
2. All atoms have tinier particles inside them, and their names are prontons, nuetrons, and electrons.
When sound goes through a soild it moves fast. Then when sound goes through a gas slow. Finally, when sound goes through a liquid it's in the middle.
Relationship between Kinetic and Potential Energy using stretched rubberband.
the relation ship between kinetic and petential energy when stretching a rubber band is when you streatch it far it's potetial energy is at it's highest point. when you let it go it picks up lots of speed, thats when it has it's kintic energy at it's highest point.
the way energy changes is by the three forms of energy conduction, convection and radiation.
When you stretch out a rubber band it has potential energy. When you let go of the rubber band it will fly around and have kinetic energy. Potential energy is energy waiting to be used in the future. Kinetic energy is the energy of motion.
When sound waves hit the wall it bounces off and goes the other way.
the way friction causes speed in an object is friction is because itresistance between two moving objects
Chemichal energy is the energy of causing a change. When you eat a hamburger it can not retrace its steps and go back to a hamburger.Wants you do something that can not be repaired its gone.
Explain how energy changes from one form to another. ex.When you turn on a lamp, electrical energy transforms into light and heat energy.when you turn on a lamp electric energy turns it light and heat energy becausethe lamp gives of light and when it's on longer it will give off heat when you stand closer to it.(even though this isn't include the answer i will tell what happens when you turn it off)when you turn off the lamp it will slowly lose its heat and there is no more light. also it is storing energy for the next time you turn it off. this is called pontential energy when you turn it off.
dear anthony.d,i would like to add to your answer that the energy is being save for when you need it.always Remember, chemical energy can not be made or destroyed
We get energy from chemical energy because chemical energy is found in the bonds holding molecules together.
The relationship of kinetic and potential energy is that if you pull back a rubberband a little bit, it will have a little potential energy. Then, if you release it it will have a little kinetic energy. If you pull a rubberband as back as it possibly could, it will have a lot of potential energy. When you release it, it will also have alot of kinetic energy.
what is the user name and password for the science web site
In a solid, particles move really slowly, since they are bunched together. In a liquid, particles are a little bit more spread apart than a solid. In a gas, the particle are really spread apart.
1.Chemical energy holds molecules together because of bonds between the atoms in the molecules.
2.Nuclear energy has atoms that contain tinier particles called protons, neutrons, and eletrons.
3. Kilocalorie is the amount of energy needed torasie the temperature of 1 literof water and one degreese Celsius.
gianna i like your awnser but i think you should write that we also get chemical enery by eating food.
The three ways heat travels is conduction, convention, and radiation. one example for conduction is a cup of cofee with a metal spoon inside. the spoon gets hot. one example for convention is the air from the radiator going up and cold air goes down one example for radiation uis the heat from the sun.
the three ways heat moves is solid, liquid and gas.sound can travel through a solid, liquid and gases.
christina sagos, I like your comment but i think u should add a little bit more about radiaton.
We get chemical energy by bonds holding moleclues and also by eating food.
we get energy from nuclear energy in a power plant. It realeases nuclear energy into heats water so that it steams. The steam turns into electrical energy.
Deanna i like you answer but i would add that Ms. Williams fist was already back because if she brought her fist back she'd have kinetic energy. Hope you like my little adjustment.:)
Three ways heat moves is covection, conduction, and radiation. An example for convection is a heater. The hot air rises to the top and makes the cool air sink to the floor until the room is all hot air.An exa,ple for conduction is a stove. When the hot part of the stove is touching a pan,the solids pass the heat from one partical to another. It eventually gets the pan hot.An example for radiation is the sun.Its rays hit the Earth which makes it warm up
I think friction slows down an object. I think this way because when your in a a drag race your tires use friction to slow down and eventually stop.
Friction can affect the speed of an object by pushing against the object.
The three ways heat travels is conduction, convention, and radiation. An example for conduction a tea pot the heat from the fire touches the particles that touches the next until the pot is hot.An example for convection is a radiator. The cold air comes in and the hot air goes up. An example for radiation is the sun heating objects such as us humans and animals.
We get energy from nuclear energy, for example, the steam turns a turbine that generates electrical energy.
its your first letter of your name.then last name. And the password is ABCDEF. THIS IS FOR SCIENCE WEBISITE
deanna it doesnt matter wheather an object is hitting an object or not.for example my hand can touch a book and have potentia energy. But when I release thats when its kinetic :)
Friction can slow down an object because if you rub your hands together it kinda slows it down
Hey guys,
Some comments on your responses.
Deanna: check your SOUND answer.
Anthony D.: check your NUCLEAR and CHEMICAL answer.
Pelin: check your MATCHES answer.
Brianna: check your ENERGY CHANGE AND FRICTION answer.
Jackie: Can you say your NUCLEAR answer in your own words?
Gianna: check your "3 ways heat travels" answer.
Andrew: How can we release energy from NUCLEAR energy?
Kevin: "your friction ques." HOW?
also, howhow can we release energy from NUCLEAR energy?
Hope this helps. If you know what I mean, please feel free to assist any of the students I mentioned above.
Mr. Lee
The three ways heat moves is conduction radiation and convection. The example for convection is when a radiator is turned on the the cool air sinks and the hot air rises. An example of radiation is the sun, this is radiation because it is giving of electormagnetic waves . An example for conduction is when you leave a metal spoon in a hot pot the heat from the pot with get passed into the spoon and then the spoon will reach the temputer of the pot
We get energy from nuclear energy because nuclear energy has potential energy and we use potential energy almost every day. we also get energy from nuclear energy because it changes water into steam, this means when you boil a pot of water and steam is coming from the pot we are using nuclear energy
THIS IS MY NEW ANSWER: When you crush an atom it releases alot of nuclear energy. That energy can change into different types of energy such as electrical energy
We get energy from chemical energy by us eating fooof. Food has fuel. Anything that has fuel has chemical energy.
I MENT TO SAY FOOD,NOT FOOOF.
Gianna I like your answer on chemical energy, but I wish you would've said how we get energy from it you just said what it does.
frition slow down the speed of an object by the heat of what it is rubbing off
frition can effect the speed of the objects by how the surface your using is.lets say you have a box on a wooden floor it wouldn't work out because the box is on the bumppy ridges of the wood .now lets say you are on a smooth surface like ice, and there is a smooth plastic surface on it. the box would slide perfectly because the frition is sort of being blocked.i'm not very sure about my guestion.
To release nuclear energy, in a power plant, it heats water until it changes into steam.
particles in are straight, stiff, packed tightly.particles in a liquids are a little more seperated and free.Particles in a gas are seperated a lot and they bounce arond like monkeys.
my new aswer, the three ways heat travels is convection, cunduction and radiation.Cunduction is the transfer of heat between objects that are in contact.Convection is the transfer of heat by a moving liquid or gas.Radiation is the transfer of heat by electromagnetic waves.

Chemical energy is when two chemicals come together and make a reaction. When you eat food it gives you energy to be fueled up.
Nuclear energy is when moleclues come together and recat from banging into each other. It is a certain type of energy.
I hope I did good on the test. I hope we get the test back tomorrow.
